Transport,
Clipboard and Autolocator Section
Clipboard Controls
The Cut, Copy, Paste, and Delete switches allow fast access
to the Clipboard, Edit Modes, and Tools. If you want to undo edits,
just press the UNDO switch to the left of the faders.
Transport Switches
MotorMate has full size transport switches in a novel layout which
allows greatest ease of operation in a minimum space. Their position
is natural and comfortable, and you don't have to look at your hand
to know what you're doing.
Autolocator Controls
The dual-purpose locator controls allow you to set and recall markers
with great speed and precision, and all without sacrificing precious
panel space. When you press the LOCATE switch, it automatically
makes the locate list appear on the computer screen. Then from
MotorMate, you have access to numeric locator keys, plus, minus, slash,
star and equals. Additionally, with locate on, the fast forward
and rewind transport switches become Last and Next locate switches for
very quick movement through the locate list. When the LOCATE switch
is pressed again, it instructs the computer to remove the locate list
from the screen thus saving valuable screen space.
Jog Wheel
Central to the Edit Section is the Jog Wheel. On top is a machine
tooled aluminum precision jog / shuttle wheel. Most other DAW
consoles use cheap molded plastic wheels. Underneath ours sits
a high resolution optical encoder which is rated for over 100 million
cycles!! Try and wear that sucker out! This allows far more
accurate control than the annoying cheap 15 cent rotary encoders found
on other consoles. Many of our competitiors use plastic shafts
on their encoders. Press them down a bit to hard and they bend
or snap off! Our Jog Wheels are of the highest quality possible
and are seen only on MotorMate and some $10,000+ consoles.
Just above the Jog Wheel is the Shuttle/Scrub switch and indicator LED's.
Use it to access the Jog Wheel for Shuttlling or Scrubbing. The
Jog Wheel is also used with the Navigator section to control the beginning
and end of regions for editing.
